<a href="https://docs.arbitrum.io/how-arbitrum-works/bold/gentle-introduction" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">BoLD</a> is an upgrade to Arbitrum Nitro rollups that allows for permissionless participation in validating chain state.

As BoLD makes changes to the underlying proof mechanism, in-flight bridges at the time of the upgrade will be delayed.

Superbridge does everything it can to prevent users initiating withdrawals that will be delayed, but sometimes we only learn of chain upgrades a few days before, or in the worst case after, they occur.
