We try to be as transparent as possible regarding the costs, steps, duration and wait times for bridging. But sometimes Mainnet gas prices can come as a shock.

When submitting a transaction, MetaMask (and other popular wallets) suggest a gas price they believe will get user transactions confirmed quickly, but this isn't always the optimal price for price conscious users.

In this case we suggest altering the gas price to one you're more comfortable with, the downside of this is that your transaction may take longer to be confirmed.

This functionality is supported by most wallets, if you're using MetaMask they have a great support article on how it can be done.
