Superbridge

Depending on the Rollup, the Settlement Chain could be Ethereum Mainnet, Arbitrum, Base, or others in the future.

When using Superbridge, you will notice that bridging to the Settlement Chain will sometimes have <a href="https://intercom.help/superbridge/en/articles/9748435-why-do-i-have-to-make-multiple-transactions-to-bridge-to-the-settlement-chain" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">multiple steps</a> and <a href="https://intercom.help/superbridge/en/articles/9748424-why-do-i-have-to-wait-multiple-days-to-bridge-to-the-settlement-chain" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">wait periods</a>. This is due to the underlying <a href="https://docs.optimism.io/builders/app-developers/bridging/standard-bridge" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">security model </a>of the Rollup.<br>​<br>​
