What is Superbridge?

beginner2 min read

Superbridge moves tokens between blockchains, and swaps them along the way if you want. It gives you direct access to each rollup's own native bridge, the bridge run by the chain itself, alongside faster third-party bridges. Every route is shown side by side, so you can pick the one that suits you.

Superbridge doesn't add any fees. You pay only network fees and whatever the route's provider charges, and every fee is shown before you confirm. Fees

What you can do

  • Bridge. Move a token from one chain to another, such as ETH from Ethereum to Base.
  • Swap. Change one token for another on the same chain.
  • Cross-chain swap. Move and change a token in one go, such as USDC on Arbitrum to ETH on Optimism.

Superbridge works with Ethereum and many other EVM chains, including rollups built on Ethereum. It also supports Solana. Connect a wallet

How routes work

There's usually more than one way to move a token. Superbridge asks several bridges and swap providers at once and shows each option as a route. Each route shows what you'll receive, the fees, and roughly how long it takes.

Some routes use the chain's native bridge. Others use third-party bridges that are often faster. You pick the route; Superbridge builds the transactions for you to confirm in your wallet. Choosing a route

Superbridge never holds your tokens. Every transfer runs through the provider's own contracts, from your wallet.

No extra fees

Superbridge doesn't add any fees. You pay only network fees and any fee the provider charges. Both are itemised before you confirm. Fees

Bridges built on Superbridge

Many chains run their own bridge website, with their own name and look, built on Superbridge. You might see "Powered by Superbridge" at the bottom.

These bridges work the same way as superbridge.app, so everything in this help center applies to them too. The chains, tokens and routes on offer may differ.
