To swap, choose a different token in To from the one you're sending. If the chains are the same, it's a swap. If they're different, it's a cross-chain swap, which moves and changes your token in one transfer.
Swaps and bridges
A bridge moves the same token to another chain, so you receive about the same amount you sent, minus any fees. A swap exchanges your token at a market price, which can change between the quote and your transaction. That's why swaps show Price details on the review screen.
Price details
On the review screen, Price details shows:
- Exchange rate: how much of one token you get for the other.
- Price difference: how the value you receive compares to the value you send. Price impact
- Minimum received: the least you'll get. Minimum received
- Max slippage: the price change you'll accept. Slippage
Slippage
Slippage is how far the price is allowed to move against you before your transaction is cancelled. If the price moves more than your limit, the transaction is cancelled and you keep your tokens. You may still pay the network fee.
The default is 0.5%, and it applies to certain routes only. To change it, select the settings button next to Max in the amount box, then set Max slippage. You can set up to 5%. Select Reset to go back to the default.
A higher limit makes a swap more likely to succeed when prices move fast, but you might receive less.
Price impact
Price impact is how much value you lose between what you send and what you receive, including fees. It's larger for big amounts and for tokens with little trading activity.
Superbridge won't offer a route that would lose more than 10% of your value. If none are left, you'll see Price impact too high. Try a smaller amount. No routes found
Minimum received
This is the least you'll receive after slippage. If the swap can't deliver at least this much, it's cancelled.
Exchange rate
The rate compares the two tokens at the time of the quote. Quotes refresh as prices change. If yours goes out of date before you confirm, you'll see Quote expired. Quote expired
